| Wow, it's been quite a while since I've been here. I have been very busy!! Lot's of sewing projects, cooking, baking, canning, etc. My favorite thing that I have canned this year is pickles. I LOVE homemade pickles. They are wonderful. Can't wait to break them out in a couple of months.
I'm thinking of starting a sewing business. I love sewing, it's one of my favorite things to do. I also love sewing children's clothes and my children are going to be too old to sew for pretty soon - so, why not start a business making children's clothes! I'll probably sell them on Etsy, along with some vintage style aprons. I just need to come up with a couple of samples and put them up to get started. We'll see how it goes.

| Don't you ever wonder where all the laundry comes from? I actually enjoy doing laundry, just not having to do it. Clothes smell so good when they come out of the dryer. They feel so warm when you get them fresh out of the dryer. In the fall and winter, I love the feel of warm soft clothes coming out of the dryer, in the spring and summer, I love the look and feel of laundry on the line. Today it's raining/snowing so laundry will have to be done indoors. I suppose I should fold and put away the 4-5 loads that are in the library...that's the part I like the least. Guess I better get to it. Happy Laundering.

| Do you ever feel like you can't get ahead? I'm totally feeling that way today. I take 2 things off the counter and someone else puts 3 more things on the counter, I wash 3 dishes, there are 4 more to do. The living room was clean yesterday, today it's a mess again. I wash 2 loads of laundry but there are still 6 more to do. Maybe someday I'll catch up or maybe get ahead. We'll see.

| We just got back from a 2 1/2 week vacation to California. We mixed in business, family, sight seeing and just relaxing. It was a great time. The trip was definitely long enough to accomplish all of our goals. We came home refreshed and ready to hit the ground running. We are working on getting our business in Fresno up and running right now, along with balancing everything else - school, church, garden, friends, etc. Life is busy, but good.
My current homemaking projects are - sewing the pinafore for the dress I made Kinsey for her birthday, canning plum jam, processing apples (making apple pie filling, apple butter, etc), I need to start a dress for Katy for her birthday, cleaning and organizing, etc.
I'll try to come up with something more interesting to write next time.

| My church had a "Ladies Sneak Away" this weekend. For one night we sneaked away to Glacier Bible Camp in Hungry Horse Montana. It was really fun. I actually ventured out of the lodge this year for the first time and enjoyed the camp facility. Anya has told me all about the different areas of the camp but I hadn't seen most of them. We walked down to the river and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and clean, fresh surroundings.
The theme of the retreat was discovering God's Treasure. We had a testimony on Friday night from my friend Nancy - she shared a lot about her life - things I didn't know about her. It was amazing. Friday night some of my friends stamped! It was really fun, but we stayed up too late - till 1:00 - then had to be up fairly early Saturday morning. Saturday's sessions and activities were really neat. We had 3 mini sessions with different teachers - one on wisdom, one on salvation and one on knowledge - the 3 keys to God's Treasure. In our final session we had a teaching that tied everything together. God did some significant things in people's lives - it is so cool to be a part of what God is doing. I'm looking forward to seeing how lives are changed going forward.
